How Do You Get Your WooCommerce API Credentials to Connect with Shop2Woo?

Step 1: Create API Keys in WooCommerce #

1. In your WordPress dashboard, click on “WooCommerce” in the sidebar

2. Click on “Settings” (it’s usually at the bottom of the WooCommerce menu)

3. Click on the “Advanced” tab at the top

4. Click on “REST API” in the submenu tabs

5. Click the blue “Add key” button

Step 2: Set Permissions for the API Key #

1. In the “Description” field, type “Shop2Woo Import” (this helps you remember what the key is for)

2. In the “User” dropdown, select your admin account
3. In the “Permissions” dropdown, make sure to select “Read/Write” (this is very important!)

4. Click the “Generate API key” button

Step 3: Copy and Save Your New API Credentials #

1. After clicking “Generate API key,” you’ll see a new screen with your credentials

2. Look for the “Consumer key” – click the “Show” button next to it and copy the full key
3. Look for the “Consumer secret” – click the “Show” button next to it and copy the full secret
4. Save these somewhere secure, like a password manager or text file (you’ll need them in the next step)

Step 4: Add Your API Credentials to Shop2Woo #

1. Go back to Shop2Woo > Settings in your WordPress dashboard

2. Find the “WooCommerce API Credentials” section
3. Paste your Consumer Key into the “Consumer Key” field
4. Paste your Consumer Secret into the “Consumer Secret” field

5. Click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page
